Each year, College of DuPage gives back to the community through its Gift of Giving campaign, with the holiday gnomes serving as the campaign's symbol. For the 2024 campaign, a request was made to design military-themed gnomes to be placed outside the homes of veterans in the community. An animated GIF for the 2024 Gift of Giving campaign was also produced.
